Project Description
 
In this project, we will develop original key technologies that enable consumer robots to perform human-like, naturally self-contained yet highly dependable, robotic services, such as elderly-care, home security, and errand services, based on “cognitive visual-manipulation and social interaction” capabilities. In addition, we plan to launch cognitive consumer robot products of high commercial value to the market in five years, including a series of novel home service robot named “HomeMate” and the commercial software components/toolkits under the framework of “Cognitive Consumer Robot Agent (CCRA),” so as to facilitate an explosive growth of consumer robot market.
